Marvel Legends Spider-Man Wave Series Hand Ninja Review
Just got this Marvel Legends The Hand from spider-Man wave recently, and i would love to have more than just one, for those who doesn’t know Hand Ninja is from the organization called The Hand, an order of evil mystical ninjas who are heavily involved in organized crime and mercenary activities such as assassination plots. The Hand first appeared in Daredevil comic book volume 1 #174 (September 1981) and was created by writer/artist Frank Miller.
So bassicaly its a grunt / foot soldier that needs to be as many as you can so it would be really good to see. Well that was just my opinion since I am one of many out there who dreams to have this Marvel Legends Hand Ninja a renewal figure. They will fits perfectly to be Daredevil or also Iron Fist’s sworn hand enemy, of course they are a great army building material.
Marvel Legends Hand Ninja features the ninja body itself with Katana and the sheat / scabbard along with the harness, it also has pair of sikles as the secondary weapon. We only get 2 pairs of hands, holding and open without the fist hands but it still better than nothing. What you did not see here is the Stilt-Man BAF part, the long legs which I did not have since I only buy it without the BAF part.
The surprise factor is probably the height which you can see the comparison between Marvel Legends Daredevil versus Marvel Legends Hand Ninja. Its taller than Daredevil and its also taller from the old version of Hand Ninja from Toybiz back then. I don’t know about the details but he supposedly an Asian ninja guy who were shorter than Daredevil itself.
So for another test I use one of my favorite 6″ Ninja figure from The Fwosh, Articulated Icons Clan of the Crimson Fury Ninja and as you can see from the picture above, the Icons ninja looks way smaller than the Hand Ninja. But if you talk about the design, both of them are good enough to me since The Hand have so many Ninjas with different outfit.
It came with multiple points of articulation, this Hand Ninja could handle most of fighting pose nicely. But the skirt could be a problem too especially it was glued so you might bit aware with it. The butterfly join feels really nice with the arm movement and I think it is better than the Articulated Icons Ninja’s. One more to mention is with the material, it were too soft that you might think its a knock off version of Marvel Legends, but it is not. It softness impact on with the leg articulation especially if you want to make a balancing pose, you just need to endure it and in the end patience is the key.
If you are Fans of street heroes especially Daredevil, this is truly for you. A good material for army building with great potentials up ahead not only for toy photographer but also for true collectors. I am sorry for not giving you a spesific review since I’m bad on writting and got very little time to handle the blog. And thank you so much for you who able to read this boring essay until the end.
